Nokomis Invitational

Here are the details for the Nokomis Invitational:

Race: Nokomis Invitational - hosted by Minneapolis South
Date: Thursday, September 3rd
Place: Lake Nokomis in South Minneapolis (races start near East Nokomis Parkway and 50th Street)
Time: Trinity runners will be leaving immediately following school (3:15pm) - races start at 4:00pm, the first race with Trinity runners will be 5:00pm.
Directions: From Trinity School, take 494 West to 77/Cedar Avenue North, take 77/Cedar Avenue North into Minneapolis and find parking on street near 50th - 52nd Streets.
Drivers: Carmen Quinlivan, Vanna Valentas and Kim Kelly-Sommer

Schedule of Events:
4:00pm - Girls Junior Varsity (4000m) - no Trinity runners
4:30pm - Boys Junior Varsity (5000m) - no Trinity runners
5:00pm - Girls Varsity (4000m) - Theresa Gross, Carmen Quinlivan, Emily Brubaker, Katie Stephenson, Catherine DeMarais and Linnea Bellomo
5:30pm - Boys Varsity (5000m) - Cody Sommer, Patrick Earhart, JonElliott Brubaker, Jonathon Valentas and Charlie Leighton
6:00pm - Boys Underclassmen (3000m) - Jacob Bellomo, Rob Kranz and John Michael Berns
6:20pm - Girls Underclassmen (2000m) - Lucy Leighton, Sydney Kloster and Lotus Schifsky

Awards:
Varsity 1st place teams: Trophies
Boys and Girls Underclassmen Race: 1st Place= medals, 2nd - 10th Places = Ribbons
Boys and Girls Junior Varsity Race: 1st - 3rd Places = medals, 4th - 15th Places = Ribbons
Boys and Girls Varsity Race: 1st - 7th Places = medals, 8th - 20th Places = Ribbons

Scoring:
It is traditional team scoring, add the places of your top 5 runners for a team score.

Burnsville, Henry Sibley, Meadow Creek Christian, Minneapolis Henry/North, Minneapolis Roosevelt, Minneapolis South, Minneapolis Washburn, Osseo, Richfield, St. Paul Central, St. Paul Harding, Shakopee, Spring Lake Park, South St. Paul and Trinity School at River Ridge.

Trinity CC - Practice Week Three

Hello,

We have two weeks of practice under our belts and are rapidly approaching our first meet. Be sure to note the Parent Athletic Meeting on the night of Monday, August 31st.

Here's the Week Three Schedule:
Monday, August 31st - at Trinity School (601 River Ridge Parkway Eagan, MN) from 3:30-5:30pm. Parent Athletic Meeting for Cross Country to follow at 5:45pm. The meeting should only take about 30 minutes and is necessary to get runner uniforms. It is important for parents to attend.
Tuesday, September 1st - at Trinity School from 3:30-5:30pm.
Wednesday, September 2nd - Run On Your Own
Thursday, September 3rd - Nokomis Invitational at Lake Nokomis in South Minneapolis - we will leave immediately following school. The meet starts at 4:00pm, but our first race is at 5:00pm.
Friday, September 4th - at Trinity School from 3:30-5:30pm.
Saturday, September 5th - Run On Your Own - enjoy the long Labor Day Weekend!

Parent Athletic Meeting - Trinity CC

Hello,

As the 2009-2010 school year has started, we have some paperwork and housekeeping to finish regarding Cross Country as well.

We have a parent athletic meeting for Trinity Cross Country at 5:45pm on Monday, August 31st at Trinity School in the large library room by the gym.

The meeting will be immediately following Cross Country practice and we expect to have a 20-minute session for coaches to introduce themselves, give some detail about the CC program, and allow for any questions parents have about Trinity CC.

After the meeting, we will have a table to pick-up uniforms, pay any athletic fees, sign eligibility and permission forms outstanding, and also have sign-up sheets available to drive to meets and for bringing treats.

I hope all parents of Cross Country team members can attend.

Trinity CC - Practice Week Two

Hello,

Our first week of practice is winding down. The runners are working hard and we have some new faces with lots of energy, giving us even more hope for an exciting season!

Here's the Week Two Schedule:
Monday, August 24th - at Trinity School (601 River Ridge Parkway Eagan, MN) from 3:30-5:30pm.
Tuesday, August 25th - at the old Trinity School site (Bass Ponds, now Evergreen Community Church - E. Old Shakopee Road and E. 88th Street) from 3:30-5:30pm.
Wednesday, August 26th - at Trinity School from 12:30-2:30pm (immediately following the all-school orientation in the morning).
Thursday, August 27th - at Trinity School from 3:30-5:30pm.
Friday, August 28th - at Trinity School from 3:30-5:30pm.
Saturday, August 29th - Minnehaha Falls (4801 Minnehaha Avenue Minneapolis, MN) - meet at the parking ticket meter - from 9:00-11:00am.

(from north metro)
Take 35E south to Pilot Knob Road,
take Pilot Knob Road south to Deerwood Drive,
take Deerwood Drive west (right) across a bridge over 35E to Murphy Parkway,
take Murphy Parkway north (right) for a couple blocks to the Blackhawk Park sign,
turn left into Blackhawk Park

(from south metro)
Take 35E north to Diffley Road,
take Diffley Road west (left) to Blackhawk Road,
take Blackhawk Road north (right) to Deerwood Drive,
take Deerwood Drive east (right) to Murphy Parkway,
