Attendance Policy

2016 Trinity Cross Country Attendance Policy:

Varsity Runners and Captains:  practice Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat and run on your own days every week
(runners should consider themselves varsity if they are in the top 10, running under 24 minutes in the 5k for girls or 20 minutes in the 5k for boys)

JV Runners:  practice Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat
(Run On Your Own Days are optional...but if you want to be considered for the varsity lineup, you must run on these days as well.)

Junior High Runners (7th and 8th graders):  practice on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
(Run On Your Own Days and Saturday practices are optional...if you want to be a varsity runner, you must attend those practices or run on those days to be considered)

Run on your own days = getting in an easy run (4 miles or 30 minutes minimum) on Wednesday or Sunday whenever you have time on your own.  This is an expectation for any varsity (...or aspiring varsity) runners to do each week.

3 unexcused misses (missing any meet (...unless you are sick), missing a practice without warning and/or without doing the workout on your own) = miss the next meet

5 unexcused misses (missing any meet (...unless you are sick), missing a practice without warning and/or without doing the workout on your own) = dismissal from the team for the rest of the season
